Default GPS speed camera warning devices

Do people still use these?

I've got an origin b2 and the subscription runs out in a few weeks. To renew they want £100 for 3 years worth of updates.

Is there anything better out there that my cash would be better spent on?

And before someone says just slow down I'm not a mad speed freak I just like to make sure I don't get stung for being a few mph over the limit.

I have a 3 week old Garmin with European mapping , complete with receipt from Argos that i got to go to Majorca with for sale. I am selling it for £50 less than i paid for it. It has camera detection too.

Its less than what you are being asked to pay

Yeah still use my RA, fits nicely in the bottom right of my window screen and tell me where the scamera are !
Ok I know I could probably do it cheaper with a Tom Tom now but thats some thing to think about when the RA packs up.

Thing about a TomTom is that the speed camera stuff is far from perfect.

Ideally you want a system that is not always going off. Something that just works depending on your speed, and gives you enough warning.

I'm in the same boat and need to make a decision when my B2 supscription runs out next year. Thing with the Origin is that it works extremely well, is easy to update, and is easily mounted/removed from the car (no wires to connect or things to stick on the windscreen).

I think Origin nailed it with the B2, and even their later products don't look as good.

Thats what I was thinking as well.

I've hardwired a kit into my subaru and into my daily driver as well and they're both pretty stealthy. And like you said to move it between them or update it is a doddle. It just seems like a lot of cash for just updates.

I'll probably stick with it even if it old school tech now.
