Waltham Abbey As an Area?

Waltham Abbey As an Area?
Anyone got any thoughts on WalthamAbbey as an area? Are there good area's and bad etc...
I want to move out of London - currently living in the East.
My kids are little over two and i wanted them to grow up in a better nicer area as one will be starting school soon...
Not that i have anything personal against the east end as i have grown up here...but i would rather my children didnt.
Houses also are on the cheap side to buy \ rent in WalthamAbbey.
Ideally looking for a nice quite area with nice people..

Doesn't sound that good...
Waltham Abbey Characteristics
...it would explain why houses are cheap.
You can analyse property and schooling on that website.

Blimy! that link was quite good...
Well..i think it sounds resonable as a area...retired folks..less trouble...low income (but im still working in London so not much of an issue)
but i guess the someone who lives there would shed differnt light to the area...but link was good..
I have checked the schools before but will be doing that again in more detail...
Another postcode i tried..

Couldnt really tell you a lot , but the grilfriend lived there for 6 months on a estate bout a mile out - i thought it was fine, but was only there weekends . Central for most parts actually , quiet mainly , centre is attractive but you need waltham cross for a shopping trip , she lived Cheshunt before that. Lea valley park and the abbey plus grounds of course

Most places would be cheaper than epping forest i imagine ( just up the road ) - theres a another nice pub about a mile out on this road , Horseshoe arms or something similar

Have you thought about somewhere like south woodford/woodford green/buckhurst hill/dare I say chigwell? Very close to the east end but quiet, peaceful and lots of green open spaces for the kids.

Surrey is the place to go, I am 30 minutes from London and two minutes from 50 hectare public park/woodland.
Prices are not to bad, travel links are great, school are amongst the best in the country, Still loads of work about.
Just a thought. GU1/GU2 would be a good place to start looking

Of course - by searching EN9 it gives a general view of the area. It was a suggested resource to use when he maybe had some more specific areas.
The granularity of the data also varies by region.

My postcode says I am a farmer, living in a large farmhouse with no mortgage and a moderate income.
Well a 25% success rate isn't bad. Although it is probably 100% accurate for all my neighbours!

This is, in all likelyhood, everything that is wrong with modern society, how on earth could anybody seriously make serious decision based on something theyve read on the internet ?
Proper society should be made up of individuals, intent to putting their mark on an area come what may
