£36 fake - Watch thread - BEWARE!!!
Went on holiday to Spain last week and some nigerian dude was selling these on the street for 60euros. Thought it would be rude not buy one, even just to satisfy my curiousity of how good or bad they were. I only had 40euros on me but he seemed happy with that.
I know its no substitute for the real thing and the insides are probably made of cheese but how the hell do they produce these and sell them for a profit at £36!!!!
Feels nice and heavy, keeps the time well and looks decent enough to the untrained eye. Awaits Yoza to educate me on the shortcomings
Im pretty sure its a Bentley GT model and is missing the date window.

mate bought a genuinly fake rolex for around a £5 while on hols. 3 years later it still works fine, even the battery hasn't gone yet even for a cheap watch you dont care about thats darn good value for money, so don't write it off till it actualy breaks.

If its quartz it will last longer than the auto, it is zinc plated and will corrode quickly, the plate flakes off revieling the brass coloured base metal which will irritate and turn your wrist green.
But they usually break before this happens.
I would not consider the watch a replica, as it is not trying to replicate anything, its doesnt look like any model in the Breitling range.
I think it is trying to look like my Bentley 6.75 BigDate, shown below next to my GT, yet yours hasnt he date as this would have made the watch harder to make and more expensive.
The back of my 6.75 doesnt say swiss anywhere...
6.75 bigdate on right, GT on left, please excuse the butty box lid..
A picture of the pair next to one of my Ball Hydrocarbon Engineers, for size comparison.
You will also notice your chronos dont measure time as they should, they just click around as you press the buttons.
Dont get it wet as they have no seals whatsoever.
Dont take this post as me being elitist, its just my opinion.....and for what you paid for it, it doesnt really matter.
You are amazed at how they make them for that price.....well the guy you bought it off made money on you, the guy he bought them off made money on him, and the factory in China made money too.
I believe they are about £4 a watch on a batch of 100 pieces.
I once bought a box drop of 'PowerBalls' from China (A kind of gyroscope wrist toy) which retailed ay £25-£30 per unit, I paid £680 all in, incl taxes for 100 peices...I dont know how they do it either...
