It was a top show, I feel half sorry for the girl but half of me has this almost swelling of pride that people can get through things like this.

What a bloody shame. I have just read a little about it. I can't help but feel sorry for her, yet she must be such a strong woman she probably needs no pity.

it's a shame people actually think nothing of doing things like that and worse.
what is the mask all about ?
is it to hide a bit of the scaring ? or to help with the reconstruction of her face ?
must admit i missed the start of the program and will look out for when it's repeated.
i thought one of the best things she stated which is a leason for all is that you should not look at the outer apearence of a person but whats inside. should think that took her a while to get her head round considering how she looked before.

I had to sleep with a neck brace and then a head brace with those wire braces hanging out of my mouth. I looked like the sister on south park!!
I had to sleep like that for about 2 years, it was very painful, and uncomfortable. But we will do these things to ourselves if there is a small chance it will help.

I had to sleep with a neck brace and then a head brace with those wire braces hanging out of my mouth. I looked like the sister on south park!!

but i know what you mean i had to sleep with a neck brace and still sometimes do for the past 2 years after having a bad accident and its hard to sleep but beats all the pins and needles, cramps and numbness i get if i don't.

So the guy that threw the acid got a life sentence and will serve a minimum of 6 years?? How is any of this a fair punishment for the crime. The poor girl will have to live the rest of her life like this and they 16 years and 6 years minimum respectively.

How does life equal 6 years ? Why is it called `life`, as `life` suggests the life time of the prisioner. I wish all these terms would be reworked and named accordingly.
That poor girl is disfigured for life, therefore the two people should have equal terms given to them.
The facial scares were bad enough, but you could see that the mental scars ran farrrrr deeper !. She didnt like going out, had no trust for anyone, and thought it was going to happen again. Those will still be there long after the scars have healed !
She was a brave girl, and was a good example of how beauty comes from within, as I still found here a stunning girl.

Utter, utter scum and the sentence is simply not good enough. Alas an eye for an eye will never happen in any justice system, but let us hope that someone does not kill these scum and instead, pour acid over them and let them endure the pain and agony that Katie has endured and will endure for the rest of her life.

i did'nt mean it from a vanity point of view more of a suffocating one
