Tattoo .... looking for a translation
Hi,
I am getting a new tat done in a couple of weeks & i was looking to get something translated into "Aramaic". Now i know that the language isnt spoken anymore so its hard to find the translation & i have tried google but i was wondering if anyone on here could help ....
The saying i want translated is "In god we trust"
Cheers

I would email a Aramaic/Hebrew specialist website, the last thing you want is an incorrect tattoo.
Reminds me of the Chinese tattoos that say 'dog' when they should be a name

Nothing wrong with it at all mate.
Individual expression, and where possible unique too.
Im pretty sure its not that uncommon either. Its not until you start looking within the tattoo fraternity that you realise that most areas have been covered to a great extent.
Like any translation, I would find 2-3 independants to confirm both translation and literal meaning. Learn from David Beckham's mistake lol.
Literal translation is unlikely to be 100% what you want.

I want it to be individual Snazy, well as close to it as possible. Thats why i wanted what i said above. i am still researching but thanks for the positive. Although what i am getting is something close to what Beckham has so thats why i am trying to change it a little.
Even the slightest change is still making it your own. Script in any language is limited anyway
Personally I reckon it will look nice, and to be fair, if its what you want.... sod others opinions. You asked for help with translations, not a poll on "should I or shouldn't I"
Good luck with it I say, just make sure you post a pic when its done
Im off for ink on the 7th

I will annoyingly as ever, add the new picture of mine to the thread I have my pics on And the new one the missus is having
Any reference to "god" will usually be something more like my god or our almighty. I doubt many people would take offence to it. And if you do see someone taking offence to it, dont get on a plane with them!
