Woman Murderer Escapes During Shopping Trip - Yahoo! News UK
DS Gary Gornell, of Bromley CID, said: "This individual is dangerous" and we need to apprehend her as soon as possible.
"If anyone sees her, please don't approach her, but call police immediately."
Gillette, from Streatham, south London, was convicted of killing 38-year-old Mark Murphy in August 2006.
A judge at her trial the following July ordered that she be detained under a Hospital Order indefinitely.
Why is this meance out on a shopping trip and when does the 'public safety' come first ???

Ridiculous. I always thought prison was a removal of personal liberty, and going shopping is one of the things that might encompass. I also like how she is described as being between 5'3" and 5'8" tall. That's quite a wide range in height, I'd have thought part of being incarcerated would involve them gaining accurate information about the individual which could be useful in a situation such as this. Or is divulging her height to the press an infringement of her civil rights too ? Maybe they shouldn't have even told us she was a woman, or black, or even human ! Perhaps they should have simply announced 'a murder has escaped, do not approach it !' You can't say we weren't warned
