I wondered that ... I don;t really spend anytime using any other forum.

Scoobynet seemed to have the right mix of mostly professional people and perverts

Any suggestions?

I don't see any need to go to another forum. I have enjoyed my time on SN. Just hope the cyber attacks get beaten off. Can't begin to understand why some have to feel that they have to ruin other people's enjoyment.

The current rumor is that it is happening due to a few people being banned from the vBulletin support forums (Internet Brands owns vBulletin, the forum software SN and a lot of other forums use) due to their criticism/rants about the change in licensing agreements IB has introduced for vB.

It is not just SN getting hammered by this, it's basically all of IB's network. I had been unable to get onto IB's own site, I wanted to get a list of the sites they manage, so I could see if I could get onto them, thus to see if it was just SN or other forums too. Found out that a few other forums I'm on are owned by IB, and I hadn't been aware of that. I tried a few of the larger sites they own and could not access them.

Obviously someone is trying to make a point, and hitting a company that hosts a hell of a lot of forums using the software they sell, is going to make a big impression. It will be interesting to see if there is any comment from those performing the attack, or a spokesperson for them, giving an indication of why it's happening, ie; possibly confirmation of the rumor that it's in relation to the license changes.

As for "where to go", well, if it's during this attack phase, check wether the site you might want to go to is hosted/owned by IB, if it is, then you will probably not be able to access it. For example, I use britishexpats.com and had problems on Friday and it was then I wondered if they were owned by IB and it turns out they were, as said above, I wasn't aware of this, but now am.

I enjoy it here and I too am prepared to wait and see what happens.
I also enjoy BOTW as a lot of my buddies are there

I've been wondering about this for a while now as I don't use any other forums and i've always liked it here. I don't like change but I decided to check out the Pistonheads forums but I felt a bit lost

Its a shame how Scoobynet has lost its way since IB took over. At least SDB would have noticed that people were feeling this way and tried to do something. I've not seen "The Lobster" around recently.

I'll be found on BOTW (with the waifs, strays and perverts) and on a few non-scooby related sites (such as 28DL) as well as FB .

I've taken more interest in Pistonheads/uk-markivs and climbing/skiing forums, the lack of traffic and recent 'grinding to a halt' might draw a close to my time with SN.

My favoured climbing forum has its fair share of weirdos also
