He means this :
BBC NEWS | UK | UK Politics | Harman questioned over car crash
Leaving the scene of an accident without giving your details is only illegal for non-MPs I think.

Latest I've seen is this ... Police quiz Harriet Harman over her ¿mobile phone crash¿ | Mail Online
"... The MP attended a pre-arranged appointment with officers, believed to have taken place in the past fortnight. A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman confirmed that lawyers were in discussions with police regarding the case and that they had offered ‘preliminary advice’ – but were awaiting further evidence. A full police file is expected to be sent to the CPS next month, when a decision will be taken on whether to prosecute Ms Harman ...."

Hope its not the end of it. Tis very frustrating when the media only feed you the interesting juicy bits, then drop the story before its conclusion.
Fingers crossed its more than a telling off.

Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman is to be prosecuted over a minor car accident in her south London constituency in July.
She faces prosecution for allegedly driving without due care and attention and driving while using a mobile phone.
The Crown Prosecution Service has said there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to prosecute.

In 2003, Harman was fined £400 and banned from driving for seven days after being convicted of driving at 99 mph on a motorway, 29 mph
above the speed limit. The sentence was criticised by some given that Harman's salary at the time was £115,989 plus full parliamentary pay.
On 7 April 2007, Harman was issued with a £60 fixed penalty notice and given three penalty points on her licence for driving at 50 mph
in a portion of the A14 in Suffolk that had a temporary 40 mph limit. Harman paid the fine several months late and avoided appearing at Ipswich magistrates court.
A Labour Party source said of her failure to pay the fine: "She made an innocent mistake. She forgot to pay on time because she was
spending all her time on the deputy leadership contest touring the country

In April 2008, Harman's blog was "hacked" and changed to state that she had joined the Conservative Party. Harman later admitted when questioned by Sky News that the incident was a result of her using the "Harriet" and "Harman" as her username and password

CPS has seen fit to charge her....
I reckon she's hoping the evidence won't appear at court and her lawyer is top notch (without doubt).
A small ban and big fine is my guess, or nothing.
If it was you, or me we'd be squashed.

OK, Martin, but there's many a slip 'twixt "prosecution" and "guilty" and even more between "guilty Labour minister" and "punishment"![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I'll bide my time until I see what she gets, knowing what she would get in North Lincs if she wasn't Harriet Hardon.

Anything short of public execution will be spun into her 'getting off lightly'
Personally (and although normally I'm completely against capital punishment) I hope they're building the gallows as we speak, as I think she's an awful example of an MP, Minister and Human Being

I am all for the return of the death penalty. Unfortunately she wont quite have earned that but she deserves a kick in the crutch for that anyway, including the mobile phone bit.

I believe the ones involved in Ewan Blairs drunken escapade and also the ticket inspector who caught Cherie on a train without having paid for the journey all took a one way trip to Palookerville.
Any one who can confirm this - I think it was reported in Private Eye.

Witnesses claimed that although Labour's deputy leader stopped briefly after hitting the parked vehicle, she drove off without leaving details of her insurance company or her car's registration.
But she will only be prosecuted for the driving offences, rather than leaving the scene, which could have left her with a possible six-month jail term.
Read more: Harriet Harman to be prosecuted for 'driving while using her mobile phone' | Mail Online
So this vile excuse for a human being really is above the law, not procecuted for leaving the scene (which she obviously did) so not to face jail - Proof (if it is required) that NL politicans are above the law.
Brown expresses his confidence and support - Blind ****, morally corrupt, stupid and arrogant with with it, whilst going blind is just part of life, he does not need to keep acting like a stupid, arrogant ****, that is within his power to change - i really want shot of these corrupt self-serving scum who have lets us all down so badly but the alternative is not much more pallatable

Oh dear .... Harriet Harman Fined £350 For Driving Without Due Care And Attention | Politics | Sky News
*Slightly* good news anyway. "... Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman has been fined £350 after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention .... Ms Harman was fined and ordered to pay £75 costs and a victim surcharge of £15 ..."
Oh dear, she's on 9 points now!![Luxhello](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/luxhello.gif)
But sadly "... City of Westminster Magistrates' Court heard a second charge of driving while using a mobile phone had been withdrawn ...".![Cry2](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cry2.gif)
Best we could have hoped for I suppose ....

Glad she got stung for the bad driving charge, wonder if she will claim it back on expenses!
I suppose it was to be expected that she was let off the mobile phone use charge however! Privilege is such a comfort.
