Angry Don't Get Conned!

You would have thought, when Modelzone sells something with the name 'Science Museum' on the box it would be of a certain standard and quality ..... wouldn't you?

I went into Modelzone and was watching a 'Science Museum Mystery Mid Air Floating UFO' on a video - in truth I had watched it last week too! This time there appeared to be only 1/3rd of the number of boxes left - quite popular, obviously.

I went online to see how the hell it did what it did - when I found out I was appalled!

The video is on You Tube:-

YouTube - My Mystery UFO from The Science Museum - HQ WIDESCREEN

There are going to be some very disappointed people on Xmas day when they realise they have been scammed ..... that's the only word for it!

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

If you have, take it back! Shocking waste of money!

Apparently, and I haven't bought one so cannot verify it 1st hand, you use some bluetac and attach a twine behind your ear and it dangles off that!!!!

Some thread + a cardboard disc for £9:99

ModelZone should be shot!

My Mystery UFO will allow you to amaze your friends, their jaws will drop in disbelief and shock. They'll be scratching their heads in amazement as the Magic UFO floats around you like magic! Is it static electricity? Magnetism? Psychic powers?
You can toss My Mystery UFO to brainiacs and skeptics and challenge them to make it float. They won't be able to, no matter how hard they concentrate. Only you know the answer to the mystery! There are no batteries or radio controls and its completely silent!
So amaze your friends as My Mystery UFO hovers and floats all around you! Only you will know how it works! The amazing effect sets up in under 15 seconds! Throw the Magic UFO like a flying disc, spin it like a top, and make it hover and float!
To find out how the UFO floats in air, you will have to pick one up for yourself, all we can tell you is that it is Magic! Detailed instructions included.
taken from the for sale pitch. i think you will notice that this gives it away. no batteries, completely silent...... come on, did no one notice

I sincerely hope that you were not ordered not to entertain like that us any more. Half the fun on this forum is the excuse for a good rant when you get going!

Sadly Pete's good advice has come too late for us.

We purchased one of these bloody things at the Science Museum last week. We also thought it was such a con that we left it as a present for the cleaner of the hotel room.

Didnt want to give it luggage space any longer!

I was bought one for a present last year; just very thin wire, easy to tangle. Bit pants TBH. Person who bought it for me thought the same after they found out.

Shooting RC helicopters with an air bazooka was far more fun (even if you are thirty years old )
