Thinking of having my wife's Jeep converted. The maths seems to look OK in terms of a payback period, but any idea what the performance will be like comapred to petrol ?

I work with an lpg bore.. just had his 4.0 range Rover done and is over the moon with it.. constantly bragging about 32p per litre... He may be happy with his conversion... but I'm going to kill him...

I'll try not to turn into a bore ;-) I just want to be sure that I won't end up with diesel performance or I might as well just buy a diesel instead - I want it all - a 4.7 V8 thats relatively cheap to run.

Do it - you won't regret it!
I'm running a 2.5 Legacy estate on LPG. Yes, the power's down a little (only noticeable when you boot it) and the economy's down too. But, it's still cheaper than a diesel, per mile, and an awful lot more fun![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

PS The guy who converted mine's based near Stratford. If that's even vaguely close to you, mail me for details - he did a bloody good job and Scoobys are notoriously difficult to convert
