Default Soddin mobile phone recycle websites and their prices!

It seems everytime I decide to sell a phone online, between the time I check the prices, selling it a few days later, the price drops out the market.

I dont think I should ever get involved in the stock market, it would crash for sure!

4 days ago, Nokia 5800 = £96..... Today, same company = £80

Anyone wanna buy a phone ? lol

Mazuma gave me about 55quid a few weeks back for my old N93

Dont forget the extra costs involved with shipping the phone via registered post, not worth sending them in the freebie bag they provide

Yeah I know, im trying to mentally block that out lol.
Although some of the cheaper phones I have sent, I have not bothered sending registered lol.

Not a bad price really I guess. But the extra 19 quid would have been nice.

I get my phones free, usually other peoples cast-offs. I was offered £1 for one recently, so if I could just get hold of another million phones I'd have my fortune

lol good plan

I get mine as part of the ongoing upgrade routine, so free in theory as I make the most of the talk time and texts I pay for too.
Selling them is always a nice little boost of cash, but more is always better eh lol

Free phones and £10 in credit every 2-3 months suits me fine. £40-60 a year, and I run a business on that

I was given the N93 for free
I also have an old Motorola V3i, they say its worth £8 although i like to keep this one as a spare, and with it being so dam small and slim, it makes a cracking MP3 player.

I suspect they would not accept the V3i as i rebuilt it with a new V3 case, and flashed it with some custom hacked sony walkman styled firmware, when you boot it up it is nothing like a stock v3 at all, it even has some kind of I-tunes malarkey on it now although i never used that part of it

Just been offered a replacement for the 5800 by Orange. £100 discount on renewal, but still makes it £45.... Thats £45 I dont wanna spend lol.
I will hold out for a better offer lol.

So for the time being I guess I will plunge the SIM into one of the older phones in the house *yuk

I suspect it is down to how much "stock" they have of a certain model.

I wonder if they "refurbish" the phones by adding all the good parts together.

lol probably do make whole phones from the broken ones.
Not forgetting some of the materials in the phones are very expensive.

Its almost got me tempted to throw the old Berry in the bag and get the new phone I was looking at lol

Just typed Nokia 101 and the site didn't recognise it. WTF that phone is an early 90s analogue brick! It should be worth millions now.

Digital bricks are worth strong money, but analogue phones arent. I regret parting with my Motorola 3200 International now...

Let me know if you do and I'll ensure I short it.

Also, eBay have been quite good for me to sell phones on. Worth having a look at some past and current selling prices of that model on there to get an idea.

lol @ the "man draw" Swiss, Michael Mcintyre by any chance lol.

I cant be bothered with the grief ebay can kick up, would rather get a tenner less and have no stress lol.
I really should chop in this old Blackberry but I cant find it in my heart to let it go.

I don't think they are that bad; I find its the less popular geeky phone that they screw you on. Whilst you get good prices on the more mass market run of the mill stuff. Using MSE's comparison tool, I sent all my old phones off to whoever gave the best prices: Sell Old Mobiles: Earn up to £150 for unused handsets....

I had £37 for a 3yr old nokia 6300! Whilst a 1yr old SE c902 got £42. The 6300 is utterly crap low spec phone, yet it was only £5 less than a much higher spec and newer c902.

Also got £28 each for two w880s, £12 for w800 and £10 for a K750. Overall I netted £250 by getting rid of a drawer full of flakey, battered and manky phones. None of which I paid for (they all came via contract) What's not to complain about?

These were all well used manky old phones; I wouldn't dare ebay them because I'd rather get rid of them with a clear conscience, no negative feedback and no jokers messing me about.

Just don't send everything in one package if you use the freepost (split it up so each package value is below £40 as standard postage compensation is £36 IIRC), charge them up, take pics of them functioning (and pics of IMEI nos) bubble wrap everything, and get a proof of postage. Sorted.

Now I have a drawer full of phone chargers Surely someone must want to buy them as well?

I just got shot of an N95 8gb for £124 on fonebank. I looked on eBay, where I usually flog my old mobiles, but by time eBay/paypal fees are taken out, much better off recycling. Still have all acessories which some muppet on eBay will buy no doubt
