The only useful comment I can make is that the GLASS in front of the sensor, (the lens), is more important than the number of pixels.
So if I were buyin, (and I have), I'd go for Nikon, (I did), Canon, Olympus, etc, then, Sony, Who use a Carl Zeiss lens, Panasonic-Lumix, who use a Leica lens, etc.
Companies like Casio, while good at the electronics, can never compete on glass, hence the above two, amongst others, who have bought into decent glass.

What are you looking to take pictures of mate, this is a mighty large camera for the occasional or sponatious shooting, you wouldn't want to carry it around everywhere with you.
I commented on another post on here, Get yourself to Jessops and have a look at the Samsung sT550, after much playing with loads of camera's for the missus crimbo present I bought her this one.... has everything and then some

To the OP - the ebay camera looks okay but I'd listen to the advice above about the glass that is involved. I just bought a canon dslr (EOS 500D) and it's good - I wasn't in the market for spending £Thousands so went for this one (15.1Mega Pixels) and the picture quality is amazing. you can get a 500D for around £550 in the UK - Spend that little bit more and read up on how to use it and you won't be disappointed
