Has anyone unlocked a mobile phone online, i`m looking for a reputable place, whats the price etc. Mine is a Nokia and is locked to T Mobile.
Also can de-branding be done online where the t mobile software is removed.

I did quite a bit of digging to try to get my Nokia 5230 (v similar to 5800) unlocked, most of the local shops said they couldn't do it yet, there were a couple on ebay but needed it sending to them which I wasn't too happy about. There was one site offering free codes but they didn't work (fortunately I only tried twice!). In the end I just got Vodafone to give me the code to do it, costs £20 or free if you've been with them a year. Maybe try to talk T-Mob into it? Best say you want to use it temporarily with a foreign sim rather than you're ditching them for Voda!

I use to do alot of unlocking/debranding, not so much now.
If i'm stuck i've got a man on our local market can do most models for £10-£15, might be worth a look around your local area.
If he can't do it then these lads are highly recommended, i have used their postal service and called at the shop many times, very helpful and quick, give them a call![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
To debrand you will need to flash the phones eeprom, if your not ofay with the proceedures its a easy way to brick it. Unlocking is reletivly easy but debrand is another story
