Depends on which aspect your on about, also depends what you class as "special forces".

When i worked in a CastleCourt (a shopping centre in Belfast) one of the fellas on the cosmetics stand from Israel used to be in the Israeli special forces. He was a mixture between Zoolander and Dutch from Predator! According to the others from his country he was a very lethal man. He wa cool as ****!

Its really a bit of both Leslie from what I could gather from the guys at uni. Kind of the secret service under a military banner.
Deffinatly a scarey and feared bunch though.

Correct, more specifically Sayeret Matkal, who are their version of our SAS.
But they have tens of SF units with thousands of members. Some of the more sneaky peaky ones only go by unit numbers not names...
The above are mostly used in "green" ops, not black ops.
The Mossad are much, much smaller and are right up there with other inteligence agencies such as DGSE, SIS and CIA. All of which would be involved in black ops.
