Default Ltd companies and family tax credits

How does this work? Can someone put through minimum wage from the business and claim tax credits then pay themselves dividends at the end of the year for the profit the company makes?

I don't think so, the dividends are declared on your tax return so would probably put you out of reach of the tax credits.

No - I know this for a fact. The dividends are assessed as part of total income.
