No more nauseating than hearing RATM. I took my 99p to the local shops and bought some sweeties. WIN/WIN imo. WTF does RATM have to do with Christmas? I would say alot less than Simon Cowells Turkey-fest pop music! Could i be a responsible enough parent to let my kids listen to **** the Police? over the christmas holiday? mmh

WTF does RATM have to do with Christmas?
Absolutely nothing That's the whole point!

Whether you like the song or not, surely you'd have to admit that having it as the xmas no. 1 would be a kick up the backside for Cowell and, perhaps, the manufactured pop industry as a whole - and that that would be a good thing?

It would be much better if people just did not buy the sh1te that Cowell produces. The current plan just sparks a sales war, where only the record companies win. They will be laughing themselves all the way to the bank over this

Nicola Gahagan, 27, who was doing her weekly shop at the Asda supermarket in Fulwood, described the experience as “awful”.

She told the Lancashire Evening Post: "A member of staff must have put the song on himself in the entertainment section – he was nodding his head. It repeats 16 times.
How does she know it says f*ck 16 times? She must have asked to listen again to check so she could get her facts right before getting her name in the local rag?

17 times, if you include the final "motherf**ker"

According to the Facebook page, the group now has well over 700,000 members - and the Amazon 29p download does indeed count.

Personally I went for the live version on the TuneTribe site, no point paying for the exact same track I already have on the album

You missed Nik's point. Bring brought, buy bought

I agree with Luminous on this. Sparking a sales war to spite Simon Cowell is about as ludicrous as it gets. Almost as perverse as blocking yourself from getting petrol at the pumps during the fuel protests. Sometimes humans just don't have the ability to think clearly.

Thing is there is a clean version... it's on Guitar Hero after all!

Not sure buying different verisons would work though... the 'live track' would presumably not be classed as the same song for the chart. Essentially everyone needs to download the same version or no go.... that's how i see it, ready to be corrected though.

5t.

Hardly surprising that people are complaining.

It is really not in the least impressive to use that kind of language in such a way.

Since Rage Against The Machine are signed to Sony BMG, alongside Cowell's organisation, I can't really see that he will give a ****

A download has to cost more than 40p to count under chart rules so make sure you pay more than that for it!

Steve

PS I've purchased!
