I found out that the missus was getting me an electric razor for chrimbo but I'm not so keen, I used one years ago and came out in a rash
Are they any better now or should I just stick with my trusty "king of Shaves" wet razor and ask her to get me some blu rays or are there some good non rashing electric one's available now?
Any help would be appreciated.

I find wet shaves always result in spots, so always use a beard trimmer with the end removed. Get quite a close shave, but still a bit of stubble ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
Can't see why you'd have issues with a standard electric shaver tho - just make sure the missus keeps the receipt!

Never really got on with electric shavers. I have been looking at the Philips Arcitec RQ1090, but it's a tad expensive if I don't get on with it and you can't exactly return it once you have used it.
I use a Gillette Fusion Power razor and Somersets Extra Sensitive Shaving Oil. When my brother was over in September he got me hooked on this. It can be used with wet or electric too.

Ive never come across an electric shaver that gets close yet and ive wasted money on quite a few of the so called best in the business, a wet shave everytime for me especially if you want a smooth result with no stubble.

I used an electric shaver once in my teenage years and came out in spots! put me off for years, so assuming I had sensitive skin I wet shaved.
Now I hate shaving with a passion, but as stubble does'nt suit me and for my job, I have to shave daily, I was getting annoyed at how long the process used to take.
One random day I tried the shaving attachment on my beard trimmer and it was quick, easy and I did'nt come out in a rash!
After about a week of this I decided to invest in a decent Philips Elec Shaver...... I have never looked back!
It takes seconds and gives a really good, even, close shave, I wished I'd invested in one years ago!

Prefer wet but really cannot be arsed to do it all the time.
If you have a decent elecric shaver and a good balm for after you will have no problems, I usually only shave every couple of days unless I have a meeitng ;-)
failing that tell her your growing a full beard and see the colour drain out her face lol.

Jamie,
You Neanderthal,
A badger brush is the only way to "soap up". If your going to the trouble of buying the best razor in the world, ie. Merkur, why mar the experience by using cheap shaving gel....
I suggest you live by your own saying: Cogito Ergo Sum and "think" slightly longer before inserting your foot.......
