A 50" telly in a 100 sq. ft. room gives 100/50 = 2. The lower the UPI, the more of a chav the subject is.
I wonder what everyone's UPI is.
Mine's 7.03.

I bought one last year for work (their budget obviously) and paid £38k.
Before going ahead I had half a day at Panasonic UK HQ to play with the one they have rigged up in reception.
Once it was installed in one of our large Exec conference rooms, I watched I Am Legend on Blu-Ray and was blown away.
Fantastic.
Ever since then, I think users have only put Powerpoint presentations through it.
I do often think about rigging the PS3 up one weekend....

Although could be handy for a team day/team building exercise. Get a bit of Wii sports on there and off you go!

A Bluechip company with lots of money to spend. As the screen was for Exec space it was no expense spared. Agree though it's a bit of a waste but part of the design was to have clean lines and a projector would spoil that. Also the 103" gives the wow factor.
We tried rear projection but found we got a hotspot and the AV company couldn't get it right (they shared the cost of the 103" btw )
We have another facility with a concealed projector which is on a motorised stand hidden in the ceiling..
There are 4 other smaller conference rooms in the same area each containing a 65". These were £15k each fitted.
Seems there's quite a leap in price once you go over 55"!

Why do people assume that having a big TV makes you a chav? People have projectors for home cinema (as do I) and that's because these mega big tvs don't exist, or are far too expensive.
Whenever TV's the size of my projector screen become available sub £5k I will get rid of my projector and buy one. I like watching films, and when I do, I want a big image. That's no different to when people go to the cinema, that would mean anybody who goes to the cinema is a chav.
I prefer to watch a film in the comfort of my home, with a cold beer, and no annoying people talking all the way through it. I don't actually watch much TV at all, don't follow any series etc, but do enjoy my films.
