right - cheesed off with this - please help!
I have a fitted kitchen with under cupboard lighting - 7 30W strip lights under the main cupboards all wired to each other & to a main point in the roof with a 13AMP fuse.
Every week or so one of the lights (different one every time) blows & needs replacing.
This is getting expensive !
Any ideas ? Change the fuse to a higher capacity ??
Any help appreciated

Change the fuse to 5 amp. You must have a short or something. (A 5 amp fuse won't cure it, but is cheaper to replace than the bulbs and will make it slightly safer) Could be condensation getting in when you are cooking in the kitchen? If not you need to check all the wiring really really closely.

Employ a qualified electrician to do the job properly.
Try the yellow pages under Electricians.

The type of lamp you are using is a linear filament type, these do not like vibration, try not to slam the cupboard doors shut, this should help a little, the average lifespan for tungsten fliament lamps is approx 1000 hours in normal use.
hope this helps.
