Default BBC Climate Change Sceptics!!!

For all you BBC sceptics there was a major piece of UEA tonight and how they are going to come under serious scrutiny with an inquiry reviewing all of their climate change research over the last 15 years.

A strong hint that it all could have been a bit dodgy!

Don't you think it was a stroke of pure genius to tax people on the weather?

Can you imagine the consequences for the world governments if this info is proven to be wrong?

Yeah, Cambridge / Oxford / Harvard etc... Must have been to busy.

Or maybe pump some money into a University that will spread our nonsense with no questions asked

With what's at stake, do you honestly think that any inquiry is going to find against UEA?

What would be interesting, if it happens, is the enquiry into all the reports/decisions etc. that used the flawed data provided by the UEA (assuming the current inquiry decides that the data is flawed).

That in itself provides an incentive for an otherwise low-profile uni; wouldnt you think?

As usual they would say that it was not their fault, that they can only go with the advice they are given, they would give up green taxes and find another way of extracting our money!

When caught out the first thing they do is to tell us the exact opposite of what is actually happening. They are ever so good at that!

...and the above includes a link to More Boulton, describing one of the members of the "Independent Review Team"...

* works in an office almost next door to a member of the Hockey Team
* says the argument over climate change is over
* tours the country lecturing on the dangers of climate change
* believes the Himalayan glaciers will be gone by 2050
* signed up to a statement supporting the consensus in the wake of Climategate, which spoke of scientists adhering to the highest standards of integrity
* could fairly be described as a global warming doommonger
* is quite happy to discuss "denial" in the context of the climate debate.*

The idea that this man has no preconception of global warming science and has no connections with the CRU is clearly risible.

*This last bit is from that premium Scotman site. The full quote is: "Computer models of the natural climate have been very successful in simulating the changes of the recent past, until after 1970, when they suggest that there should have been cooling, not warming. Add human-produced greenhouse gases to the models, however, and the match between the model and reality is excellent. It shows that, since 1970, the human-induced component has begun to dominate over natural trends. Denial is equivalent to saying: "I don't know anything about science, so given the choice of trusting 99.9 per cent or 0.1 per cent of the experts, I'll go with the 0.1 per cent."
