im a bit confused. at the very beginning of january i bought something from an ebay store. after waiting the stated time, i contacted the seller saying that it hasnt arrived. various emails and etc....later, i managed to get a full refund from him.
well, today,i got awoken by a royal mail man at the door and with him he had this very parcel. nothing said, just handed over. on the package was no date. i havnt been charged again and im just wondering what to do. because i now have this item,(not cheap), for free.
is it possible for a package to have been lost for near 5 weeks in the royal mail system and suddenly be found and delivered ? where has it been ?
any advice, what should i do.

Lost, then found and delivered, errrr hell yes. Probably stuck on someones desk.
As for advice. Honesty says you contact the seller and arrange between you to return it.

If the seller has kept his proof of postage, then he's probably been reimbursed from the Royal Snail.
The only loser should be the Royal Mail and I think they can afford it.
You could sell it and buy a little bell that says ''ring for beer'' on it. I've got one, they're ace.

Happened to me couple of weeks back (Parcelnet); before christmas I ordered some racking for the shed. Delivery should have took 2-3 days, 5 days max
Never turned up. Even though it was dispatached. The sender ended up refunding me.
5 weeks later, package arrives. I phone the sender saying it arrived, and they said keep it

Contact the seller if he has been re-imbursed by the Royal Mail you could try going for 50% discount so you are both up. You get it for half price and he has made 50% profit. As I bet the seller wont refund the Royal Mail.

Honesty always pays.
We lost our cat last year, someone who found her went to slot of trouble to find us and thank god she was ok.
A few days later I found a purse with several hundred pounds in, handed it straight in. The timing felt like a test of karma.
It's amazing how things can come back to you.
