Question ANY PLUMBERS ABOUT?

Just need a bit of advice if anyone has come across this i have a water tank in the loft that feeds the hot water cylinder, the connections on the cylinder are front bottom is the feed from tank in loft , top connection is hot water domestic taps which tees off back to the water tank in loft. 2 pipes on the back of the cylinder return and feed to back boiler. The problem i have is that there is no loop or no tank to fill the back boiler, and if i could the pressure in the back boiler cant escape anywhere such as a water tank so in effect the pressure could build up that it could cause a leak. any advice would be greatful this system i think is from the 1960's

Without seeing it, it is hard to be 100% but it could be that you've got a DIRECT/PRIMATIC cylinder rather than an INDIRECT one. Would be about right with the age of the system these are pretty rare now days!

Could be wrong....so wait to see if i'm corrected
