Talking Property-bee.com How Fascinating!

I've just downloaded this toolbar and Firefox.

It is amazing looking at how long some houses have been on the market and the price drops some have taken!

If you are looking to buy, I'd recommend you download it.

Yup top piece of software.

Watching houses go SSTC. Then seeing them come back on because something fell through presumably due to the mortgage not been approved.

steve........ I had to knock off £97 grand off the price of our house to sell it so we could move closer to the kids school.

I now have to work untill I'm 64 to pay off the new mortgage

Behind every price drop there is a story to tell

Clearly your house was overpriced then.

Can't believe the amount of properties around here that still have the same asking price now, than they did when the UK was still in a housing boom.

Guess some people are just greedy, while others need to sell it high because of the stupidly high mortgage they took out to get the house in the first place.

What was it people said on this site? Oh yeah, House prices will never drop.

Hi Shaun,

We sold our last year for what we paid for it in 2005 so I feel your pain. However, did you not 'gain' on the house you bought?

Hi Steve

The problem I had was that I had to move to get the kids nearer to the "best" Grammar school in the area .... which was over an hour away by bus

But is now a 15 minute drive away since we moved

I guess you can argue that I am nothing more than a pushy parent moving to get the best education I can for my kids ....as I can't afford to educate them privately.

Guilty as charged LOL

The difficulty is that near to Penrith the house prices didn't drop that much as it's near a National Park so I had to pay more.......for less

I guess you would have been faster around the track when you took me if there was nitrogen in the Skoda's tyres .....

Cheers

I did a quick search of properties within half a mile of where I live. The largest drop seems to be of around £25k in a six month gap.

An interesting tool.

Think that your figures maybe on the light side, looking at £12k-£15k per year per sprog
