Is it that long. Does not seem like weeks since you first posted your job loss

Is there nothing you could do as self employed. Was the best thing I ever did. Sorry, I can't be much help

If your near Tameside your about an hour from me, we use an agency atm and probably will do until things pick up, but we could maybe offer some driving work via an agency if you have a Class 1 licence? The work varies from daily runs up and down the country to 2 or 3 nights in the pod which includes meal and overnight allowance with driving time directives (55 hours per week ish max)

We also use agency warehouse staff for manual labour which is unskilled so long as you have something upstairs and are prepared to graft occasionaly (not often tho) Unfortunatly this only pays just over the min wage so its really not worth it for an hours drive, especially in a 30mpg scoob lol.

No worries & best of luck with the search. Although its a s_tter to sign on an agency there isnt many employers that will take on permanent labour. So i would recommend that you find a local agency, I found this a quick google search Manchester Jobs: Local jobs in Manchester from the major job sites. What qual/expr do you have to help you mate?

That's a long time bud, feel for you.

Have you tried ALL of the online recruitment sites? Once you have your CV and covering letter sorted, it takes no time at all. It is how I got my job 3 years ago. (the mrs actually received the email as she was looking at the same time, but I ended up going for it)

I feel for you fella, i've been in the same boat since mid november. Its like a never ending cycle of applying for jobs and hearing nothing back.
If it wasn't for the other half having a stable decent paying job we would all be living in the scoob now. your confidence takes a kicking being off work this long so almost a year must be soul destroying mate.

Chin up fella. There are others in your situation so try not to take a confidence kick

One bit of advice - don't keep mentioning on here as eventually you'll have your own following of little Hitlers like I did Least you have your health so that won't limit your availability.

Being out of work myself currently after doing a job for 5 months after my redundancy last year, it itsn't nice but you must keep smiling and as long as you are doing all you can then no one can say anything bad about it.

As a thought have you registered with people like Reed for temp work? as they could at least get you some work doing new things and it will give you a chance to probably try something new also.

I know places like LloydsTSB take on temp staff at various time (as I may be doing some myself soon). You have nothing to lose.
