Default Help RE - change in e mail adress and forgotten password. Help.

Basically my laptop is constantly logged into SN, so I have no idea what my password it.

Also, I have disabled my old e mail account, so I cannot retrieve it.

I am in desperate need of clearing up cookies history etc, also I want to log in to SN on my i phone.

I can't do either without the password, and I can't get the password sent to me.

Anyone got any ideas or can someone here point me in the right direction on what to do

As you are logged in can you not go to your control panel and edit your password and email address - you should then be sent a re-activation message to your new address.

The only thing I am unsure of is whether you can do your new passowrd and email at the same time. The form implies you can.

Nope, you can only edit your e mail if you have your password. And I can only edit my password if I have it sent to my old e mail address!

So I really am lost I sent the administrator a message on Tue night, with no response.

Ah yes I see what you mean.

OK I would PM Scoobychick as she is now and admin and seems to be around a bit more than Stu or any of the IB guys.

I think she can sort it out for you.

Thanks mate. The scoob still running sweet for you? I just renewed my insurance, and got it £200 cheaper than last year.

Yes the Scoob is running nicely, took her for a blast to North Yorkshire last week in between the snowfalls.

Yours still in good shape?

Yeah looking and driving good. I had a new bumper for it in the garage, but to be fair, when I look at the minute damage on the one thats on there now, it's nothing that a bit of paint won't sort, whereas the spare one I sourced wasn't mint. With the work involved, and the risk of damaging it (or the clips) while removing the one thats on it seemed like a daft idea.

So the bumper is now sold and I have more room in the garage.

I think the battery is the original one though, and on a short trip to school and back, it's not getting a good charge. But a good run out now and again will see it through the winter weather.

I have contacted scooby chick now, so hopefully it will get sorted.

Good, she will sort it out I think.

Glad your Scoob is in good fettle. Good call on the bumper as the clips can break as I found out when I took mine off for spraying.

They should not sort it out for you in my opinion. How do they know its you?

IB and everyone else have to abide with the data protection laws, simply changing your account password or email address without validation would be a breach of that law.

I know it doesnt help you but security matters!

Because I have verified all my old e mail adresses that have been registered to this account, and the fact I Am actually signed in on the account. It's not exactly a breech of security.
