Default Personal Trackers

Guys,

Someone here will know.

To cut a long story short a friends parent is sadly loosing the mind a bit.
Last night there was drama as she went out, no one know where she went (She lives alone now)
Came back and said she was at such and such a place.

Turns out she wasn't, but claims she was.

So I had an idea (james bond esq )
Get a personal tracker and get it put in her coat or something.
I'm sure such a thing exists and in theory then using a laptop the family can have their minds eased.

Cheers,
Shaun

Thats also too big
She would know it was there and take it out

Dog lead wouldn't help - that would mean someone having to go out also

Arnie had a tracker up his nose in Total Recall - perhaps that's available now?

Might be a bit stingy getting it in.

Or perhaps: Track Stick 2 - Personal Tracking Device - Business Tracking Device

I thought you could track GPS phones. You could give them that and say it is for use in an emergency, so they don't chuck it?

hey shaun

have a look at amber alert - google for it, seen it on tv for tracking your kids.

There is a company here KoolTrax™ Lite personal GPS tracker from Blue Tree Services Ltd who specifically claim this product if useful for monitoring those who are prone to wander.

How small do you think it can be though? You need a battery large enough to run a GPS receiver and a GSM telephone, as well as an aerial and the aforementioned GPS and GSM devices. Anything worthwhile isnt going to be smaller than a large box of matches unfortunately.

I think it is illiegal to use a tracking device on someone without their consent

Possibly, but even if you told her what it was she'd forget in no time

Its not that she wanders
She just doesn't remember where shes been
