The young ones.
Who remembers this then? The old comedy with Rik Mayal and co.
Haven't seen it in a while. In fact i don't even remember it being on TV as i was so young, i used to (very naughtily) pinch my older brothers video of it when i was little to watch it My brother now has it on DVD and while helping him clear his stuff up as he's moving i found it and borrowed it again
Great humor

The Young Ones is very very good teley, the missus doesn't "get it" thou and doesn't find it at all funny so I always end up watching it on my own. Which is great for peace and quiet!
Used to love Bottom but i don't find it funny nowadays. Best British Comedy is Blackadder!

There were some classics. Neil as plod, trying to get into their house to tell them to turn the music down, shouting, "Guys, it's the piiiiiiiiiiigs".
Then going in, and when they wouldn't listen, smashing the stereo with his truncheon, and sayin, "Heavy, police brutality..........".
I also like the one where Neil had to have the last bath: the water was thick and brown, and he eventually finds his BIKE under the water.
And the one where Neil got a cold..........

It may seem to have aged but it looked pretty shonky back then, that was its point, what was the point of trying to make it look slick, it was just arsing about, *****, bum, fanny and fart gags.
essenential viewing back in 85, my kids have the boxed set and seemed to find it amusing but they arent party to the buzz about it back then.
