Formula 1 on BBC - changing channels...
...half way through the race.
I was watching the race on delay TV of about 45 minutes. Moments before the change of channels, it gets mentioned that coverage is moving to BBC 2. Why not mention the channel change earlier in the race?
I changed to BBC2 just in time for the podium ceremony.
Does anyone else record the race to watch later etc? I ask because Virgin didn't series link the 2 channels, so anyone recording it would have missed the second half.
Personally I'm furious as I've missed the second half of the race. And all this for some religious programme that could be on any channel.
This is the first time I've actually formally complained about something.

I looked on Sky last night, and it said 8 to 10 on BBC1, I presumed that they were cutting all the bollocks at the start of the programme, and set my alarm for 7:55. Then I found out I had to sit through all the bollocks as they did mention it at the start of the programme.
Got up an hour early for no bloody reason at all!

Came home from the nightshift and set the sky plus to record the race. Got up at 12 and noticed on the planner it showed two recordings, one on bbc1 and a part recorded one on bbc2. I watched all the bbc1 coverage up to about lap 30 something. I then clicked on the bbc2 coverage on the planner and find its on the last bloody lap!!!!

I usually sky+ the program & fast forward any boring bits.
Real glad i was up watching this morning though, losing the last part of a race to praise the false jesus christ sh!te would have really hacked me off

I'm on the point of complaining to the BBC as well. I was watching the race with a 20 minute time slip and suddenly it's all religious crap with no more racing. I assumes series link would have taken care of the next bit but no such luck. I dropped into the live feed with 6 laps to go.
Why couldn't they show the whole thing on BBC2?

Typical BBC
Never watch live TV these days, it's all recorded then watched when I'm ready to sit down and watch it. To split up a big televised program like F1 is a joke. Luckily I found out about it in time to record the repeated program this afternoon.
Why not leave it on one channel for the entire race (bbc1 or 2)
Is that too much hard work for the kn0bs at the BBC.
And I wish that Joanthon Legard (or whatever his name is) would pish off and let someone with half a brain do the commentating.

I had a similar rant in the house and on Facebook (along with lots of other people on my Facebook friends list!) - it just seemed completely ridiculous.
Either show the whole of the F1 on BBC2, or show the whole of the F1 on BBC1 and put the nonsensical (in my opinion as a BBC licence payer) religious program that the BBC are duty bound to broadcast for a tiny minority of the licence paying public on BBC2; rather than pointlessly swap and chop around causing anyone who's recording it genuine inconvenience and just irritating the hell out of me!
You know what, I'm going to complain as well!
