Jeepers I got a 42" Samsung Plasma from Comet/Currys for that price a few weeks ago. That also shows HD broadcasts (via HD Freesat box)
I guess HD ready means you can use it with HD services that are offered by your receiver, until such time as everything is broadcast as HD.

AIUI "HD ready" = 720p. But I don't know if there is any legal or technical backing to the use of that phrase. There are enough mentions of full HD 1080p in the description to say that it isn't a misprint.
As said above, maybe "HD ready" is being used with a different (and confusing) meaning here
