Default Stolen Wheels

Just been into the garage and found that my Gold set of Speedline ST2s have been stolen

Really can't understand why they left a number of several other things in the garage worth considerably more than the wheels

Reported it to the Police and going to claim from House Insurance, luckily the guy I bought them off is a friend in the W.Y.I.O.C. so he's going to write me up a receipt for them.

Just can't have f*ck all these days

So if anyone round Leeds area gets offered these wheels could you be decent enough to get in touch asap please.

The lettering is very hard to get off as it's not normal vinyl, one wheel will have evidence of a repair (bare patch where the powdercoat has been removed to repair it) and the those will have peeling coating on it and evidence of pothole damage.

I'll be on the look out for a limp wristed gayher trying to sell Gold Wheels round the gay bars in town!

Joking aside, that's a bummer!!

Just thought, what's your Policy Excess? It must be more than the wheels are worth? Plus, you will have made a claim and be loaded on each of the next 3 years Insurance Premiums?

According to the parents the excess is £50 and they have said they don't mind me claiming for them.

Are the wheels worth more than that?

Remember, it's what the Insurance Company think they are worth .... they were secondhand .... they may well value them at £100. £50XS = £50 in your pocket and a claim registered on your parents insurance.

Keep us posted!

Purchase receipt for the amount I paid for them which all I will be claiming for.

The wheels aren't available any more and 2nd hand prices range between £250 and £500 for a set.

Parents house? Did they leave the door open? Difficult to run off with 4 wheels out of a broken window

Weird, this happened to me aswell once. I was stupid enough to leave the garage un-locked on a regular basis and one day my set of OE Subaru alloys went missing. They left everything else in the garage, including power tools, battery charger etc.

I just assumed they were interrupted and fled with what they had.
