Default Best Buy UK

Another American superstore arrives in the UK. Anyone been to their first UK store in Thurrock?

We only have one Costco in the whole of Oz .God, we need some competition over here.

There is one being built not far from where I work; should be open next month

Should kick DSG into touch (they've closed their nearby store to renovate and expand in retaliation).

Bit late for me as I've just blown £2.5K on new kitchen appliances (still got a good deal though and managed to get bulk discount via a local independant who undercut the best on-line prices )

Seems to be an unwritten law in the states, if you work for a large chain you have to wear beige trousers with a black belt.

You cant see them because they dont have a UK ecommerce site yet!

But Best Buy will not have a functioning website ready until the autumn - a spokeswoman said it was busy reworking its website for the UK market.

Aren't you lot sick of "mega" shops by now? I'd rather pay a reasonable sum from a "local" shop rather than bottom dollar from a place like this. Thin end of the wedge IMHO

As long as it gives value for money and customer service I don't really care who or where the goods come from.

There are just as many independants out there that will overcharge and fob you off when things go wrong, so its always the luck of the draw IMO.
