hi all
my other half is due an upgrade and we are looking at a htc phone at the moment but can't decide between the desire and the new google nexus one (htc)
anyone know a good comparison site so i can have a look at both side by side don't want to pay extra for the google if it's only for the sake of it saying google and is 1mm smaller in each dimension.
thanks

Yes it does PUSH mate
Personally for me its not as good as the 9700 because I dont like touch screens, but in many way its far better, depending on your preferences.
Watch out for the 9800/9700a or Slider BB coming which should combine a few likable things. OS 6.0, faster processor, full size touchscreen, slider full qwerty.

Thats basically the CDMA version of the 9700 anyway. 256mb of memory is a HUGE improvement of what you already have, and trust me, its smooth as hell with 256. Or like I say hold out for the next gen coming Q3-4 this year with 512.
However if you like touchscreen, the Desire is amazing!

whats the android (eclair) OS like snaz. IMO both the android and the new OS6 are very "applesque". is it right to make this comparison or have the other 2 OS moved on from the 3GS

I would not say they are applesque as such. They have a pleasent appearance and function, comparable to the iPhone yes.
Its all about what works better for you. Personally even when OS6 is out, I will more than likely remain a hardware qwerty boy lol.
Whatever you want to compare them to, they all do their own thing their way, and do it well

sorted she went for the nexus prefers the look.
have to say i have a i phone but i'm quite impressed with the htc.
my only worry is if it was the correct choice going for htc if snazy is correct and it's going to be replaced already then it must have problems because it was only released on vodafone last couple of weeks.
if i had to fault it in anyway i would say that the ball is way to sensative at the bottom and don't think it really even needs it.

I'm personally sitting on my choice until the HTC EVO comes out, which I hope is soon.

Here's the new Blackberry with mechanical keyboard which looks to have bigger keys this time, not to my liking, flip phones are a bit 80's but someone will love it I'm sure.
