Amazing discovery!!

Used to be one of these

The council has kept the exact location secret. Still, I'll take a stroll down there tomorrow for a look

It looks to be in fairly shallow water - suprising it's only just been found

Great find, another piece of history re-discovered. There's a mummified forest round where I grew up that used to surface and disappear on a regular basis, all to do with tides and shifting sands

LOL!
Not likely though, he has quite a reputation as a prolific and gentle, even caring lover in the sheparding community and even likes to turn them over and kiss 'em - Baaaaah!

My old dive club lifted the wings and engines from a Beaufort in the 70's, H+S would have a field day with how it was done!!

Just been nosey and I think I know where it is from the info I can find.

The local council won't reveal the precise location to protect the plane - designed in 1937 - and because it may be carrying high-octane fuel.

Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...#ixzz0nMreOiTe

I think the fuel might be safe now

I like the way they say their keeping the location secret then give the details of the flight so you can identify the landmarks so know where to look!

You detective

It was discovered at low tide following a drop in beach levels at Harlech, North Wales

Fuel is expensive these days; someone might pinch it for their scoob.

Doubt it will be secret for long; all it needs is a local to stick it on twitbook or face-er and knowledge of its location will spread pretty quickly.

They dragged a Wellington out of a fiord and managed to do an amazing rebuild of the geodetic fuselage sections. It is in the Brooklands Air Museum which is well worth a visit. You can even sit in a Harrier and wonder how on earth they can operate it with all that kit on, to say it is cramped is an understatement! They have got a Concorde there which looks like like new! You can also walk on the famous Brooklands racing track-or what is left of it.

Hope they can set the P38 up like that too.
