Virgin broadband question

I wondered if anyone could tell me what is involved in having Virgin broadband installed? Do they drill through the wall etc? I'm moving into a rented house in a couple of weeks and it's in a fibre optic area. I'd like to know what's involved before asking the landlord if he's OK with it.

They will drill a 10mm as the cables only 7mm and also your phone cable will fit in there.
They will then fit a box on the wall so you dont have a hole visible in the wall. TBH landlords i come across don't bat a eyelid when sky or virgin get's installed

Virgin have to run a cable from the nearest tap-in point which is usually under the pavement along any traditional housing estate road.
To get the cable to the property they have to dick a small trench in the front lawn. If you have no lawn then they would have to go under the drive and, as I believe, they will not do this.
My neighbours share a common drive. One of them wanted cable but Virgin couldn't install it to their house. This was due to the drive length and the fact there is no easy way to run the cable. They hinted strongly that they could route it under my garden! Yeh right, on ya bike!
