Default Best and cheapest Protein ?

Looking to go back on the protein to build up again over the next few months .. I'm looking for some hard fast gains .. working out three times a week.

I've got a solid start with an establish routine I plan to increase..

Which product would you recommend, ideally none milk based.

the best cheapest protein - never knew such a thing existed...though eggs are quite cheap...good source of protein...
