Shoved into a post that carries no responsibility or political weight 99.9% of time. Good going Nick
Not quite true - if Cameron is not around Clegg will be taking Prime Minister's Question Time which may not be earth shattering but it is an important part of Parliamentary process. I wonder what Tebbit will think of Clegg speaking on his behalf. I imagine it will lead him to an early grave!
How long will it last though? Can't see it being very good for Cleggs future political career but then again this may be "as good as it gets" for him, rather than his party.

Can't happen soon enough. His is one I'd happily dance on
Along with Thatcher when she goes, Baker and a couple of others.
Done that alright. Proven himself to be a two faced untrustworthy worm before even 'stealing' his 'office'.
Men of principle will need to keep a close eye on him...
Don't really get that. Do you mean he's two faced by jumping in with Cameron? He doesn't have a choice - neither of them do.
If they couldn't put a deal together and we were left with Lib Lab with Brown still at the helm it would destroy any chance of Lib Dems ever getting a vote again. Also, if it meant we voted again it would look very bad for the tories that they couldn't strike a deal.
