Default anyone got a Taylor Made R7 CGB Max 3 wood?

if you have, can you help.
just got one off the net from www.golfsale18.com
its arrived but not 100% sure it's real.. over a copy.

I have the Driver (from local golf shop- TM agent)and thats real, but as these are about 2yrs old could get a three wood unless off the net.

can you post a pic of it and help me out?

cheers

Not got that driver but I would bet my left testi that the site is all fakes.

Lots of these appearing all the time until shut down. The prices are to good to be true.

Hope you used a credit card.

£62.99 delivered.... I'll see how I go with it tomorrow when I do a few holes.

yep paid by c/c but what goods that anyway, I've got the club now, if they shut down you can't get money back from a company shut. tried it before last year when mum bought an electric golf trolly, it broken after 3months, company website was gone, rang c/c company (hsbc) they didn't want to know cus it had been delivered, they said they could have if the goods hadn't arrived.

Almost guaranteed to be a fake - post a picture and we should be able to tell, it's usually pretty obvious!

Golfsale18 is mentioned in this thread as sister company to another rip off site. Mid way down on page 2.

Been a while since I bought any new gear but doesn't this club have a product number / reference number etc engraved somewhere around the hozel? If so you should be able to check online on the TM website.

yes it has, 95BW6771

could it be official/fake/copy or even a factory second?
what ever, I played with it this morning, must say it goes very well. feels a good weight when you swing it. my problem is the natural draw i seem to have, so will have a fiddle with the weights and see it it helps.

showed my Father in law last night and he was very impressed with it, he now wants to try it out!!!
he said the head is titamium on the 3 wood and light weight titanium on the driver, thats why the 3 wood will feel heavier.

been looking back on the site and this looks a good buy
http://www.golfsale18.com/TaylorMade...-set-1224.html

must say their customer service is very good, with follow up emails asking if everything arrived ok,I emailed asking what the club head was made from and a few other questions, they emaile back saying all god are shipped direct from the factory so they don't get to see each product... but will find out for me.

I've even had a phone call/answer phone message, whilst on the golf course (fone on silent) asking if I'm happy with my purchase...... think the call was from China!!!

not many companies would even bother!

You could ask TM to check the serial number for you, they are pretty helpful. A side by side comparison will give the game away straight away - for example, the logos will not be quite so crisp. As I said, post up a picture and I will let you know what I think - FWIW!

Of course, the fakes will generally still give reasonable results, but if you wanted a cheap copy, I guess you would have bought a Benross or something! As for the weight, both the driver and 3 wood should feel the same when you swing them, because they share a D3 swing weight.

Interestingly, I looked at the user comments for a Cameron Studio Select putter, at a barely believable price of £109, and think it's fair to say that the contributors first language isn't English:

"I don't care about Whether the quality of Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Putter is high, I will be happy because I get best service"

Yeah, it's definitely a fake - the shaft graphics are wrong and some of the paint application is misaligned. I've seen worse though!

It's probably the same club that you can get in JJB, but with TM graphics!
