Just had a customer place an order for some goods, and said they would pay by BACS.
Instead, they sent a cheque drawn from Deutsche Bank of London directly to my branch requesting that it be paid into our account.
Now the thing is - the cheque was for £20k more than the original invoice.
They are asking for the difference to be refunded.
We have refused the cheque - asking them to repay by BACS.
Be on the look out.

Not email you donut.
It is similar to the email scam, but a bloke actually rang us to place an order. Seemed to know about the product he was buying. . . . Only when he sent the cheque to the our branch to be paid in directly (which would have looked like a BACS payment to a quick glance when looking at on-line statement).
Subtle differences. .
