Default "seasonal alopecia"..Any Boxer owners had this problem please?

Asking for a friend whos Boxer has recently started loosing hair.
My missus did some digging and found a condition known as "seasonal alopecia". As I know there are some boxer owners on here I thought I would ask.

The vet has already guessed at something else, and said it needs £300 of blood tests and drugs for life.

It has however been said on other websites that the 2 conditions CAN be misdiagnosed as one another.

Anyone?

What do you mean by loosing hair - patches through to the skin or general shedding?

The reason I ask is that ours always sheds heavily around this time of year?

Not heard of seasonal alopecia though but if you don't fully trust your vet just get a second opinion or speak with the head vet?

Cheers
