Sorry to go all PSL on you, but I told you so. Cameron has been ditching right wing policies as fast as he can to get the coalition together. Yes it comes from the LIb Dems, but the facts are easy to check.

Uk is in a total and utter financial hole.
Bet you never said anything as Gordon Brown was down at the coal face, smiling at us (well grimacing). And my god was he wrecking a bad situation. Can`t really say the last recession was caused by him, but we can say that he DEFFO made a mountain out of a molehill and instead of a light covering in dung dust, we are neck deep in the stuff.
So what do the Government do??
Carry on like Labour, say its all under control (lies), and that we will sort it in 2 years.
By that time we are then like Greece or worse as we have higher living costs, due to too many scroungers etc etc etc thanks Labour.
Or do we take the tough choices, take the burden, take the costs involved?
I for one if in debt, will cut my outgoings and rationalise the money left, and suck it out. And then come time I`m out of debt, make sure I keep some aside for a rainy day.
This is where Gold comes into it, its our national reserve (same as US have got in Fort Knox), Gordon Brown sold a LOT of Gold a few years back. But being a **** told the financial markets in advance, thus lowering the price of gold, so when he did sell we had F*** ALL, where as now the price of gold is through the roof, we have nowt left really, and that is the only reserve keeping our head above the water.
So all in all Gordon did a crap job, Tony did a crap job, lets all hope Clegg and Cameron will together put the country back onto road to recovery and prosperity.
So Mr Lewis from the Labour strong hold of South Wales, thank **** that Gordon and his money wasting, sudo-socialist party are finally out of a job!!!

It's all cyclical, and we're back to 1979 after Labour bankrupted us. It's no different this time, other than we have a coalition with a weak party.

If you are so knowledgeable please tell us what NL would do if they were still in power and what the result would be. This will be your excuse to duck out of a sensible response I imagine.

Labour left the Country in a right state, not surprising that its going to be painfull. Just amagine if it had been left any longer.
However ID cards go in the bin, (there's eighty billion saved) and we have a motorist as Transport Secretary. He doesnt like speed cameras too..................

For a start you need to stop reading the Daily Fail - most stupid paper ever!.
Pi55ing about with the minutiae of government policy pales into insignificance compared to what they plan to do in the June budget. THEN we will know if Ronnie and Reggie are going to save us

Well said. Personally I like the direction its going so far. Especially for an average human being and citizen of the UK, not a super rich or poverty ridden person.
ID cards definatly a good move. Interested to see what they actually do about roads and drivers.
Petrol price levelling sounds interesting, depending where the level is.

I voted against Blair and Brown and they've made me pay for it, so believe I can legitimately complain about their legacy. However I won't be complaining about what we now have to go through as like the realistic portion of SN know we need to take a hit in a good cause.
If anyone who voted for those idiots now has the brass neck to utter a word...

Im sure not everyone saw it coming but I have to agree. 1 week in, and even though we know were are RIGHT in the brown stuff (double meaning) apparently we are in terrible trouble now the Tories are in

Lets look again in a years time.
This is not the only forum that Labour nutters (not the genuine supporters) are going mad on already.

which 'Labour nutters' are you refering to?
I've not spotted anything like that on here. Are you that allergic to having an open discussion on this subject that you have to brand everyone who might not entirely agree with you as a 'nutter'?

And for the record, you are not one of the people I had in mind.
Im not allergic to discussion at all, but I am tired of the same dribble about "maggy did this, I will never vote Tory"
![Sleep](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/sleep.gif)
So quite the opposite in fact, im probably a bit more open minded than some groups.Read carefully again, I said NOT the genuine supporters, wakey wakey and stop being so paranoid....... nutter

Out of interest could you please describe the 'conservative ideologies' and exactly how they differ to NL's. It a surprise to me that David Cameron appears to be to the left of Tony Blair

I think that that would be extremely foolish: because there are many, many protections given to us which could be invaluable in the 'Big State' society thats crept up on us over the last decade.
Its interpretation certainly needs a damned good look at, of course. I believe that its always interpretation that has been the issue.

You betray yourself with that post. Do you really think that we don't fully expect that we will have to endure cuts and a drop in our living standards in order that the country survives the parlous state that your heroes have dropped us into over the 13 years they were in power?
If you are so knowledgeable please tell us what NL would do if they were still in power and what the result would be. This will be your excuse to duck out of a sensible response I imagine.

Just to turn your question around Les, what do you think the Tories would of done differently over the last 13 years, and therefore what sort of state do you think they would have left the economy and public services in?
My suspicion is that VERY LITTLE difference, maybe we would have a slightly smaller deficit but slightly worse public services???
I certainly do not sign up to this 'one side has a great record the others are useless' argument

As for Gorgeous George this morning he was quick to blame monger by what the last govt had done, as all new govt do. I take it he will be getting rid of the Civil Servents who aided and abetted in the last govt bringing about these so called myths. I think not they will still get their knighthoods!
As for the other 100 Lords the Tories and Libs need or suggested they need, where are they coming from, I thought the Lords was doomed or is this another thing to be dropped as they need to get iffy pledges through.
As for losing quangos read gaining committees, how many committee the new govt formed, I lost count. Will anything ever get done waiting for so called intellects to decide or is the govt devoid of any ideas that they need someone else to suggest a plan already, we are doomed. What does a committee cost is it vfm? I thought the political parties had plans in their manifesto or was that a waste of recycled paper too.
They are all fuds not got a clue any of them, wheres a good dictator when you need one

This is the whole problem with politics, the opposition will only ever be able to say we would have done it differently, but we will never know what the outcome would have been.

I think people all too readily forget politicians lie before elections, and then just lie therein (Tenure?).
Look up the literal definition of "politician". You'll see an image of Tony Bliar there too.
Guy Fawkes had the right idea! But I guess with Corro, Dead Enders on TV and takeaways like KFC and McChunders on ever corner the "masses" are comfortable.
