Yep, had about 3-4 so far, even sat out well into the evening last weekend while burning up some wood off-cuts on our chiminea (sp?).
Got some goodies out of the freezer this morning for one tonight.
Got the missus' hammock out the shed last weekend and built it though, usually spells the kiss of death for summertime

Long range charts are looking ok, best chance of a good one since 2007 I would say.
El Nino is starting to fade away now, which can often bring some really nice conditions for summer in this part of the world, we may see some very bad storms though, but the other days will be warm and we could see periods of 7-10 days with no rainfall at all.
All an educated guess right now, but its looking good for June and July.

From what I've learned over the past few years it's the Jetstream that generally controls our summer weather. If it's sitting North of the UK it diverts all the **** weather away from our shores. However, if it drifts South over the UK, then we're doomed. At the moment it is happily nestling over Northern Ireland and Scotland and heading further North. Take a look here:

Trouble is it can change quite quickly, so what may be good for the end of May, could be quite different in mid-Summer.

Its all pie in the sky, but looking at the data - I would say its a 70% chance of this happening. Still, that leaves 30% chance of something else!

Oops, forgot to say - the proof in the pudding has been the number of hurricanes we have seen in the Atlantic recently. Only 2 this season.
The problem with that is we often see this ramp up from a low year for a further 3 to 5 years before another low. So we expect 4 to 8 major storms in the Atlantic now every year for the next 3 to 5 years.
There are some years this does not work out - but its rare.
HTH!

Ive had at least 5 on the gas bbq so far but not since April as the weathers been poor.
I prefer charcoal overall but being able to come home from work, stick the gas bbq on and bosh a steak = I tend to use it more.

You mean you doused charcoal with lighter fluid and dropped a match in......or do you sit there with a magnifying glass or rubbing sticks ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I've never had a gas BBQ but I can see the appeal when it's easy to setup and use. It's just not something I would probably use though. Still, the important thing is being outside, eating meat and drinking beer/wine/cider (preferably not all in the same glass)

I prefer the practicality of a gas BBQ, when theres a large group of people on ya garden you can guarantee that after a while drinking that there will be requests of more food please![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)

We have a five year old Outback gas barbecue and it needed a bit of a revamp as the grills have gone rusty.
Normally £45 to replace, but I found them for £25 here: http://www.valueland.co.uk/Barbecue-Accessories-C0268/
Also got a smoker for something a little different this summer!

Just don't plan any BBQ's for Sunday. My in-laws are inviting us round for one that day and the weather's always cr@p for them, no matter what the forecast.
