I guess that's the first tangible sign of the new Government's Olympic cut-backs.
Revised Olympic Mascot Budget: 3 quid.
Sarcasm aside though, they have only had 5 years to come up with them and they seem to fit Coe and Beckham quite well, I think.

What does not make any sense to me is that the mascot design seems to have absolutely no relationship to the Olympic logo.
Whereas the logo is a surreal cubist interpretation of Bart getting a blowie from his sister; the mascots seem to be a Philippe Starke interpretation of a Miro sculpture.
Non of which represent Britain in anyway at all except to say we are crap at this stuff!
