I always love speaking to retentions ..
..with any company really but especially Orange.
Had a bit of a run in with them a couple of months back and made sure they knew my feelings on the matter, going right to the top.
However a promised credit never appeared (£20)
I emailed them yesterday, and had a missed call but no message and no reply to the email, so thought grrr!
Coming near to the end of a contract now, the one I use my Blackberry on, and thought I would see if it was worth staying with them so called retentions.
After explaining the reason I was considering leaving the nice lady informed me that a credit of £40 had now been applied to the account, but wanted to see what she could do to twist my arm.
On telling her I was prob looking at a Blackberry, she did a quick review of the account, noting I rarely make calls, she came back with £15 a month for a 24 month contract, BIS included, and unlimited texts, and 100 mins just to make sure I have a few mins on there
Oh and just to finish it off with trimmings, another nice new shiny Blackberry Bold 9700
I was gonna hold out for the 9800 but decided its time to grow up lol
Now to cancel the other contracts, and the Orange broadband too.
So that has halved my line rental for that account in one quick call
Anyone wanna buy a Blackberry 9700, nearly new, perfect condition lol. Im keeping the new one for warranty reasons

One just ended on ebay for £226. Recycling places are giving £170ish.
If the missus dont want it I will be open to offers
Yes its locked to Orange, but I believe thats easily overcome.

Working for retentions suck ***! I did it for around 3months with vodafone, after a call from a very unpleasant paki I called it a day and walked out. One of the better decisions I've made in life.

Same thing aint it, just supersized!
lol
I look forward to receiving my new phone, followed by cancelling lots of other orange services lol. Well as soon as I can.
Looks like the missus is keeping her 8900 for now, so the other 9700 WILL be getting sold. Should cover at least the first 15 months line rental lol
