Re:chocolate-o-brian post on winning a prize.
I once won a track day at Bedford Autodrome when they first released the VX220 Turbo. The cars where supplied by Vauxhall and hosted by Palmer Racing.Great fun ragging someone elses car for free!
Mind you when you got in the passenger seat & the drivers from Palmer showed what they could do with the car it was a bit of an eye-opener.

A bottle of rum at a raffle. And I didn't get a single drink as I was only 6 so they gave it to my mother and father
That was back in 1989. Since then I've won **** all. Not even a £10 on the lotto

Not sure if could be classed a freebie, but the most enjoyable was the corporate karting events that were held by one of our suppliers all held at various kart tracks.
Our team were on the poidum for the qualifiers, semi-finals and finals for every year that we were invited (three years running). After that we didn't get invited again, maybe they got tired of us winning all the time
Prizes were pants though - medallion, baseball cap, a £1.99 watch and a naff torch.

Back in 1996 I won a comp from MacDonalds to goto the World cup final in the USA for 2.
They also chucked in $1000 spending money, all expenses paid and a 3 day pass to Disneyland.
In the same month I won the golden straw comp in Burgerking, got £500 there.
Now Im just an unlucky bugger that wins nowt now.

Last week I won £30 of bonus bonds in a questionaire that work were holding (to boost security awareness) my daughter has since spent them lol.
Had a few freebies in the last few years from going to a football match, clay pigeon shooting, rugby (only a local team) and loads of bottles at Xmas. This year the only thing has been the bonus bonds...oh and I found £2 in a car park the other day does that count

I won a ride with Richard Burns in a WRC Impreza on a stage near the rally in Wales. Went over and got all kitted up in the overalls and helmet, and was all set to take my turn. Unfortunately he went off on the first run so it was game over.
So, instead SWRT flew me over to Germany just after the German rally for a drive day, where I met Petter Solberg and Tommi Makinnen, and had a ride with Tommi.
Best prize I've ever won by a long long way

i blagged my way onto a karting 2hr team event with my mates firm a few years back, i'd never done karting so like a dunce i asked to wear one of the hi-viz novice jackets. found out i was ok at it and proceeded to overtake about 90% of the field, we weren't popular
it's nothing special, but i don't get any sort of coporate stuff in my trade so to turn up somewhere all paid for and be pampered and fed all night was great and pissing of some big cheeses that clearly thought i was beneath them was an added bonus.

Mitsubishi competition on website, spot the vehicle from parts of car.. Mica the ultimate car geek spots them straight away. Really tacky one liner to finish.
3 weeks later I get what I thought was a Dutch crank call, turns out to be 5 days in Andalucia In 5* hotels and restaraunts, with a 4x4 and 300 euros spends.
... Also won two 12v car hoovers with same type competition on auto trader stands at shows! Woo hoo!

Not much to speak of really.
The latest was a day off work in a competition (yet to be given, but I will have it )
A few years back, I got a TV boxset as a freebie sort of, my favourite programme at the time. Was more of a mistake than anything, but still it was free.
Oh, and when I was about 13/14 my friends and I went to some amusement place, and you know those machines where you put in 1p/1p/5p/10p and it slides and sometimes actually gives you something.... well we put in 1 10p and nothing but the second and it dropped like ****. We managed over £30 before noticing the people running the place coming over and decided to take what we had. Tbh, the machine may well have been broken or whatever, but what the hell, they rip people all the time so in my mind even then it was just the way it goes.
My 'winnings' may be nothing in the grand scheme of things, but still nice to get something once in a while.

I didn't win
It was to win one of the new peugeot RCZ cars. I thought fair enough maybe I'd win one of the 150 free tickets to Goodwood, not quite a car but Goodwood is special. Not a foofing bean!
Never mind, theres always the lottery tomorrow, if I remember
