Will this to the start of Iphone4 owners looking like Michael Jackson wearing a singular glove on their left hand?

We all know Apple like to set trends, least we've got a glimpse of it today.

Personally i`m not keen on some of the new iphone features, the new signal loss feature looks annoying and the feature where if you drop it 2 times the phone becomes useless doesn`t look like it will catch on.

Apple attitude is as bad as microsoft,we build s--t with our name on it the muppets will still buy it,the bad reception is built in so it works with bad 3g.Dont the manufactures check these things or are they to arrogant ie Windows pista. Is every designer at apple a right handed t00ser? No different to nokia n97 brilliant phone s--t software s--t battery life, what made them think we would buy this crap?

Every Apple product I own is fantastic. Other's might be scared to say it, but it's true for everyone I know personally. It has nothing to do with attitude and I can assure you that no one makes something that works with bad 3g. You're a victim of the anti Apple hype.

You're right about one thing though, the n97 - iPhone Killer - was a sack of cack.

I will say this. Every apple product I have ever owned and believe me, that is a looooooooooong list, has been pretty damn good. There have been exceptions of course. The Apple TV never gets used now, not when the mac mini is king of the media centre in our house and less said about the 6100 mac the better

Aside from the, every one has been perfect for the job

After a full day of use, I can honestly say that the iphone 4, even with its signal foibles is A++++

Time will tell though if the signal issue becomes less of an issue and more of an annoyance

I bought an ipod. It was ok.

I'm getting a Desire for work though, because I want a phone that will change profile automatically based on location.

Of all the pro- and anti- Apple hysteria that's been on SN recently, this is far and away my favourite comment

My list is short, just a 1999 Powerbook G3 Pismo that is still running perfectly. Used a great many different Mac's over the years and all have been superb. I'm about to get a Mini to use as a media PC too

I used to be anti Apple, once I actually took the time to use one of their computers I realised how good they were. They are very controlling over the iPhone hardware & it would be good if it would run flash, but hey ho, I can live with that for the sake of having a phone that "just works"! Android is a very good platform, but the iPhone is more useable IMHO. Mac mini for me next as a media centre.

Works a treat for me. Hooked up to the lcd screen in the living room via hdmi and uses plex for the catalogue system. Attached is a drobo serving as a NAS unit with about 2TB of storage so plenty for videos etc.

Browsing the web on a big *** lcd screen is quite entertaining as well

Think I will stick to my old Ericsson. It rings people and they can ring me, when I can be bothered to switch it on!

Loved my previous generation iPhones and was loooking forward to the latest model. I'm glad I didn't rush out and get one now!

What's amazing me (after lots of Reading on the net) is the people that say it's no big deal just fit a bumper, or a bit of tape over the gap! I wouldn't want any case or tat round mine, and some people seem to be missing the point here, we shouldn't be trying to sort out a really bad design floor ourselves.

Apple truely have disgraced themselves with the (lack of) testing of this phone. They've surely got to do a recall and sort it. Trouble is the best I can ever imagine happening is them taking the phone back and sticking some clear tape over the metal.

I really do like my Ipod Touch but I just think Apple stuff is an nice option, not a religion, sure their computers are nice but largely lifestyle acroutrements, of course they can make the end user experience nice they dont do anything else, say what you want about MS but they make Games Consoles, Server Operating Systems, Databases as well as consumer OS's, rather than being first and foremost a marketing machine that sells some nice toys. I dont get the fervour around the release of a new Iphone, they are great, it has to be said, but camping out, for a new mobile, good god no, they turn up the following day by courier when I want one.

Apple makes games consoles via the ipod touch, server OS ( 10.6), their own consumer OS, browsers+ media players all cross platform and of course Databases via Filemaker which is owned by Apple.

So quite a bit

I don't see how they could do this. It'd need re-engineering to put an internal antenna in and I don't imagine there's much space in there. Unless they coated the area?

Just out of interest, I keep seeing it reported that it only affects you if you hold it in your left hand, therefore only left handed people

I'm right handed and always hold the phone in my left hand. I thought everyone did?

Correct, all right handed people hold it in their left and use their right hand to touch the screen. The affected area is when your left palm touches the left hand side and your fingers touch the right hand side of the phone case.

Having said that Apple will probably sort it soon enough. More fool all the idiots that have to have anything new tech wise on day 1.
