Porridge is one of my all time favourites love the one where they get forced to break out of prison, but they dont want to so they break back in

Those were the days when they really did make good programmes.

I still like "Last of the Summer Wine" too. Outstanding gentle but very clever humour, and they always had oustanding cast members too.

Ah Stepteo & Son, fantastic! I still get think the episode were they split the house in half with partitions("Divided We Stand") is one of the finest moments ever on TV!

The BBC did some fantastic sitcoms, some of my favourites include Dads Army, Black Adder, Hi De Hi, Allo Allo, Porridge, Red Dwarf

I would agree, but Gavin and Stacey does get close !

I liked Terry and June when I was younger... Not sure its one of the all time greats but I enjoyed it.

Gavin and Stacey is 100% gash. Modern classics? Inbetweeners is quality, The 1st 3 series of Peep Show were ok, Operation Good Guys* was ok (*Dad's army on speed).
