Default House build prices

I'm just about to start a house build and have a meeting with some builders who have quoted for the full build. I am trying to trim the price down a bit so need some figures.

Based in Glasgow if that makes a difference.

Mono block per square meter
Painting and decorating per square meter
Turfing per square meter
Tiling and flooring per square meter (wood and tiles supplied)

Thanks

Jeremy

No, i have had four quotes but they don't break it down into costings for these things just lump sums. It's a 450 SqM build and it comming in about £650 a square foot. I still need to floor it, supply and fit kitchen, bathrooms, decorating and fire places.

450 sq mtrs is 4800 sq feet. At £650 per sq ft, is this place really costing you over £3,000,000 + the bits you quote? How big is it?!
