Bruce Dickinson.

Stage presence, lungs like a blacksmiths bellows and he flys the Iron Maiden Tour plane around between gigs!

it's got to be Freddie Mercury.

Much as I like Dave Lee Roth, Steve Tyler, Prince, etc - none are a patch on Freddie for sheer showmanship.

There will be others with tremendous creativity, talent and showmanship (the likes of which have already been mentioned above) but there will only ever be one Freddie Mercury.

I am not sure who fronts Queen now - Brian May? I don't even know if they are still playing?

But their vocalist, Paul Rodgers, is certainly worth a listen.

Here is a very well put together example with Brian May doing some great guitar work half way through

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYl-_uZcu64

I am not comparing Rodgers with Freddie in any way but he fits in well.

The worst thing is that there probably isn't a frontman with as much front as Freddie had - but after Killer Queen it was all pantomime cheese!!

The Paul Rodgers who toured with Queen isn't a patch on the Paul Rodgers of Free & Bad Company

His voice seems to have lost some of it's presence IMO anyway

Love David Coverdale, Bon Scott, James Hetfield & Robert Plant, but none of them has quite the mix of raw talent and enjoyably theatrical stage presence of one Farouk Bulsara.

Oh, and when I was a kid I was a member of the Queen fan club, lol!

I actually prefer Rodgers voice to Freddies and I think Freddie would have lost some of his panache if he were still around as he'd be about 60 now I think.
