Thinking of covering our rear patch of earth - 7' x 15' ? ish .
its either this or weed control black cloth on a roll which i have allready.
Id prefer the first solution , the second after all needs a layer of something on top anyway to keep it down ??
Apparently i need it 3" deep , thats about 100 quid - does this sound right ?
its also kind of sloping , which maybe could be a problem

If you have the weed control stuff then just lay it down and cover it with cheap mulched bark from a bulk supplier............it's just that chippings last a lot longer ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

bark mulch blows everywhere on a dry winter day. We started of with loads of it. Now it is all plum slate. A 25 KG bag will cover 1 sq m for about a fiver. I think you need 10 bags or thereabouts. (You don't need 3 inches with slate - one is plenty)
