Angry People who park across your driveway,

Came out at about 8.45 this morning before walking the dogs, and noticed a car parked smack bang across my driveway. Not needing to drive anywhere, and thinking it would be someone for a neighbour stopping off quickly, I left it for the time being.

Walked the dogs, came home just after 10, car still there. Could only be my upstair neighbour I thought, no one else would park away from the house they were visiting, so again left it. (fool!)

Just after 11 I got ready for work, and went to leave the house, car still there. So I rang for the neighbour.... No one in. uh-oh!

Eventually called the local police who sent a PCSO around, but advised there was no registered keeper on the car, so to me this immediatly meant no point in ticketing it, as the ticket would go nowhere. And the towing was going to take over 2 hours to arrange.

So thanks to whoever owns this car, you really messed up my morning

Let its tyres down, all of them. If the owner is nearby i'll bet they will be out pretty sharpish with a comment like "what do you think you are doing?" to which its easy to reply.....

Would have been the right option had I not needed to get my car out to go to work. I have managed to push it out of the way just enough to get the car out now, under the watchful eye of 2 local PCSO's I know.

If it is still there when I get home tonight, well thats another story all together.

A beat up old pug 205 would also ruin my day

We get idiots coming along our road and instead of driving to the end and turning around, loads of them think they can just drive into our driveway and then do a sharp turn around. The last guy who tried that at the weekend got a shock when he saw me coming down to have a word and reversed so sharply off the driveway that he ripped off his front bumper

Haha thats what I like to hear. I do hate people who treat driveways as extensions of the road.

lol sorry I missed that bit
Pushing it out of the way was a chore, as there is an island in front of it, and a car parked behind at the mo. I shall review my options this evening if it is still there.

Swiss, shame on you, looks nothing like a 205 lol.

Have IQs fallen sharply this week?

My adventures this week have been something else. Pulling onto a roundabout yesterday a motorbike decided to pull out from my left as I was going round the roundabout and then he decided to pull straight across the front of the car (turning right when I was going straight on). Good job I'm psychic and knew he was about to try to kill himself and was able to brake in plenty time.

This morning got better, cycling my little girl to nursery. A dope of a bint in a 4x4 who decided to pull out of a side street right in front of me, so close that I had to stop dead in the middle of the road with my little girl on the back of the bike. she was so close that I was able to smack her side window with my right hand as she pulled round us.

It got even better on the way back when a little **** of a Jack Russell bit my ankle, drawing blood.

I'm wondering if I can actually break something on myself (a'la Snazy) or kill someone before the week's out!

If you move the wheelie bin it looks like you could maybe get out with some serious Austin Powers like manouvers

Sounds like a nightmare week mate. I cant compete with that lol. Hopefully it ends without incident.

lol if I move the bin, I would still have to move the brick wall too.
Getting a 5 series tourer out of a tight turn is more of a PITA than you realise lol.
Got it out though after bullying the car out of the way. Was still VERY close.

Nope, its a residential road thankfully not blighted by lines.
He WAS committing an offence until I got the car off the drive. Would have got towed for it has I waited for Marcus the sergeant to arrive, but needed to get to work.

I would get my trolley jack out, jack up the rear wheels, and get Mrs Leslie or a mate to help me push it out of the way, and to leave it making a partial obstruction of the main road. Sooner ot later the coppers would have to get it moved and that would cost the owner!

I can do some hilarious things with it if its still there later, like ground it on the island in front of it lol.
Either way, even thought I got off the drive its still in an unsatisfactory place, and needs moving.

Last person to leave a car like that left it with slight right lock on, and found their car the next day at 45 degrees in the middle of the road.

Logged off to finish off today's jobs after that last post: touch up paint on the banister and replace the bathroom extractor fan.

Full-on mains shock up one arm and down the other, fingers and arms still numb.

Glad the car situation is sorted chap

no yellows, no violation, no recourse.

Report the matter to the council and they will paint yellows, hey presto you have resolution.

Otherwise, shut up about it
